Firm response to threats from RTÜK President Şahin: We will not back down in fear

As the head of RTÜK, Sahin emphasized the importance of the institution’s role in maintaining control over media outlets and ensuring they act responsibly. He noted that in many countries, opposition parties work within the boundaries of responsibility and prioritize the interests of the nation.
Furthermore, Sahin called out the opposition in Turkey for not showing the same level of responsibility and urged them to prioritize the country’s interests. He also warned that any threats or insults against RTÜK will be met with criminal complaints and administrative sanctions.
