First Hungarian Rickshaw Unveiled in Delhi: Exclusive Photos
The first Hungarian Rickshaw was officially unveiled on June 27, 2024, at the Liszt Institute, Hungarian Cultural Centre in Delhi. The event, attended by Dr. Marianne Erdő, Director of the Liszt Institute, took place at the newly constructed building within the premises of the Embassy of Hungary in New Delhi.
The Rickshaw, adorned with intricate designs and artwork, was christened Öcsi, which means “small” in Hungarian, equivalent to the Indian name Csotu. Dr. Erdő emphasized the beauty in simplicity, highlighting the elegance of the compact vehicle.
Ambassador of Hungary in India, H.E. Mr. István Szabó, graced the occasion with his presence, alongside various diplomats and guests. The event was well-received by all attendees, celebrating the fusion of Hungarian culture with Indian traditions.
