First Lady Erdoğan Welcomes Mongolian President’s Wife at Presidential National Library

First Lady Emine Erdoğan recently visited the Presidential National Library with Bolortsetseg Luvsandorj, the wife of the President of Mongolia. The two women were warmly welcomed by First Lady Erdoğan at the entrance of the library, where they first visited the Cihannüma Hall.

During their visit, the leaders’ wives explored the Mongolia section of the library, examining books and taking photos. First Lady Erdoğan gifted Luvsandorj with Mongolian translations of Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar’s “Time Regulation Institute” and Mevlana’s “Mesnevi”, while Luvsandorj presented First Lady Erdoğan with records and books showcasing Mongolian culture.

Children at the library also presented tulip-shaped artworks created with marbling art to the guests. Later, the leaders’ wives visited the Nasreddin Hodja Children’s Library, where they were greeted by children from the Presidential nursery. Traditional handicrafts made by children were also showcased, including the tulip-figure marbling art pieces gifted to First Lady Erdoğan and Luvsandorj.

The visit continued with a tour of the “Those in Anatolia” exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Industry and Technology under the patronage of First Lady Erdoğan. They admired local dresses and learned about the fabrics and motifs used, while also enjoying Turkish coffee, salep, and roasted chickpeas.

Additionally, Luvsandorj participated in the “Global Zero Waste Goodwill Declaration” signing ceremony, becoming the first signatory after President Erdoğan.

Reflecting on the visit, First Lady Erdoğan expressed gratitude for the opportunity to strengthen cultural bonds between Turkey and Mongolia. She emphasized the importance of sharing knowledge, experience, and skills to foster friendship between the two countries.

The enriching cultural exchange and diplomatic engagement between the leaders’ wives are sure to contribute to stronger ties between Turkey and Mongolia in the future.
