Fishing Success: Catching a 9-Kilogram Sea Bass Causes Net Overflow
A 9-kilogram sea bass was caught: Fishermen’s nets were full and overflowed
Fishermen in the Akçakoca district of Düzce had a successful day out at sea as they reeled in a variety of different species. Among their catch were a swallow, a halibut, and a massive Black Sea bass weighing in at 9 kilograms.
The coastal town of Akçakoca, located in the Western Black Sea region, proved to be a fruitful spot for the fishermen during the fishing season. Their nets were full and overflowing with red snapper, halibut, and the impressive 9-kilogram Black Sea bass.
The sight of such a diverse range of fish brought joy not only to the fishermen but also to the local stalls where the catch was put up for sale. Customers could purchase the prized Black Sea bass for 650 TL per kilogram, while the red snapper and flounder were priced at 350 TL and 400 TL respectively.
In addition to these premium catches, other fish such as anchovies, red mullet, haddock, bonito, and horse mackerel were also available for purchase at the stalls. Prices ranged from 100 TL for horse mackerel to 200 TL for anchovies.
Overall, it was a successful day for the fishermen in Akçakoca, as they not only enjoyed a bountiful catch but also attracted customers eager to sample the fresh seafood on offer.
