Flight Delays Caused by Inclement Weather

The Turkish Airlines (THY) and Pegasus Airlines have announced that a significant number of flights have been canceled due to adverse weather conditions. According to the statement by THY Press Consultancy, a total of 154 flights were canceled, with 82 flights at Istanbul Airport and 72 flights at Sabiha Gökçen Airport. These cancellations were made in response to the decision of the Meteorological Emergency Committee on 18-19 November 2023.

Similarly, Pegasus Airlines stated that a total of 82 flights were canceled, 44 today and 38 tomorrow. Passengers affected by these cancellations have been informed that they can change or cancel their tickets free of charge through the Pegasus mobile application and website.

The adverse weather conditions have led to a significant disruption in air travel, impacting both THY and Pegasus Airlines. Passengers are advised to stay updated on the status of their flights and take advantage of the options provided by the airlines for ticket changes or cancellations. Both airlines are working to minimize the inconvenience caused by the cancellations, and further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
