Flooding in Rize due to heavy rain
Heavy rainfall causes flooding in the Black Sea region
A sudden downpour in the morning hours has led to flooding in several districts of the Black Sea region in Turkey. The areas most affected by the heavy rain include Fındıklı, Ardeşen, Pazar, and Çayeli.
The downpour resulted in the lower floors of homes and businesses being flooded, turning streets and avenues into temporary lakes. Transportation in the affected areas has also been disrupted due to the heavy rainfall.
Municipal teams have already begun cleaning up the flooded areas, working to remove excess water and debris from buildings and streets. The General Directorate of Meteorology has issued a warning that the heavy rain may continue throughout the province until the evening hours.
Authorities are advising residents to be cautious and prepared for possible floods, landslides, and inundations. It is important for everyone to stay informed and take necessary precautions to ensure their safety during this period of intense weather.
