Forbidden Love: Nurse and Hospital Manager’s Allegation Turns Deadly
A shooting incident took place yesterday at 18:00 in Cumhuriyet Quarter 674th Street. Suleyman Y., a construction machinery operator, was injured in the left leg after being shot by Şemsettin D. in front of his house with a rifle.
After the incident, Suleyman Y. called the 112 Emergency Call Center and informed them that he had shot someone. Police and medical teams were immediately dispatched to the scene. Suleyman Y. surrendered to the police and allegedly made remarks to Şemsettin D. suggesting a motive for the shooting.
The suspect was taken into custody, while Şemsettin D. was taken to Konya Necmettin Erbakan University Meram Medical Faculty for treatment.
In his initial statement to the Provincial Health Directorate, Süleyman Y. revealed that his wife, who is a nurse, had an emotional relationship with Kazımkarabekir State Hospital Director Şemsettin D. and had noticed a message between them. He claimed that when he returned home, Şemsettin D. followed him with a rifle.
Şemsettin D. had been divorced approximately 7 months ago. The investigation into the incident is ongoing, with Süleyman Y.’s wife also in custody.
