G20 Foreign Ministers Meeting Discusses Global Tensions
The G20 Foreign Ministers Meeting in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has been the focal point of discussions on global tensions, the Russia-Ukraine War, and Israel’s attacks on Gaza. Among the participants, Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan has been actively engaged in talks with various counterparts.
One of the key meetings was between Fidan and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, where they discussed steps to ensure a full ceasefire on Gaza as soon as possible. The meeting also addressed the war in Ukraine, NATO’s expansion process, and regional developments, setting the stage for high-level visits in the future.

Furthermore, Fidan held meetings with German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock and Bolivian Foreign Minister Celinda Sosa Lunda. In the discussions with Baerbock, the development of bilateral relations and concrete steps to end the brutality in Gaza were emphasized. Meanwhile, Fidan and Sosa agreed to enhance bilateral relations, particularly in the fields of defense industry, health, and culture.
