Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan Supports Ceasefire in Gaza
In a recent statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, it was revealed that Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan had a phone conversation with Ismail and members of the Hamas Political Bureau regarding the ceasefire in Gaza. Minister Fidan expressed his hopes that the ceasefire would bring benefits to the Palestinian people and reiterated Turkey’s ongoing support for Palestine, particularly in the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also released a statement welcoming the ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel, thanking mediator countries such as Qatar and Egypt for their efforts. The statement emphasized the need for all aspects of the agreement to be implemented, the ceasefire to be made permanent, and humanitarian aid to be urgently delivered to Gaza. The international community was called upon to ensure that Israel fulfills its responsibilities in this regard.
