Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó Offers Condolences to North Macedonia After Deadly Fire
Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó expressed his condolences on Sunday over a tragic fire in North Macedonia that resulted in the deaths of at least 50 people. In a Facebook post, Szijjártó shared that he had spoken with Timco Mucunski, his North Macedonian counterpart, and offered Hungary’s assistance in providing transportation and medical care to the 19 individuals who were injured in the fire.
Reports indicate that the blaze claimed the lives of at least 50 people, with several dozen others sustaining injuries.
Prime Minister Orbán also weighed in on the situation, stating that North Macedonia should already be a member of the European Union.
