Founding Associations Sign Youth Federation Charter
The Youth Federation of Northern Cyprus Establishes New Statute
The founding associations of the Youth Federation recently came together in Lefkoşa to sign the Youth Federation Statute. This significant event marks a new chapter for the federation as the provisions of the Statute will come into effect after the approval of the Ministry of Interior.
During the signing ceremony, Mustafa Özbilgehan, on behalf of the Federation’s Temporary Central Council, shared valuable information about the new statute. The presidents of various associations, including Nicosia Youth Association, Mağusa Youth Union, Girne Youth Association, İskele Youth Association, Güzelyurt Youth Association, Lefke Youth Association, and Education Youth Initiative, all came together to sign the new statute.
One of the highlights of the event was a question and answer session where the new statute was introduced to member association volunteers. The Federation aims to bring together the youth of Northern Cyprus, address their issues, and develop strategies for the future.
The new statute establishes various boards to regulate the functioning of the Federation and its relations with its members. These include the Youth Federation Assembly, the Central Council, the High Supervisory Board, the High Disciplinary Board, and the Political Representatives Board. These bodies will work towards protecting the rights of young people, amplifying their voices, and resolving their problems.
The upcoming First General Assembly will determine the boards through the election of member association delegates. In the meantime, the Temporary Central Council will continue its crucial work to ensure the smooth transition to the new structure of the Federation.
The establishment of the new Youth Federation Statute signifies a promising future for the youth of Northern Cyprus. With dedicated leadership and a clear vision, the Federation is well-equipped to bring about positive change and empower young people in the region.
