Four Kazakh Female Entrepreneurs Named Finalists for Aurora Tech Award
Four female entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan have been named as finalists for the prestigious Aurora Tech Award, an annual global prize that recognizes women entrepreneurs in the field of Information Technology (IT). The award is established by inDrive, an organization dedicated to promoting and supporting women in the tech industry.
According to a report by The Tech on December 24, a global list of 120 female founders of startups was announced, showcasing some of the boldest and most ambitious entrepreneurs from around the world. Among these talented individuals are four women from Kazakhstan who have made a mark in the tech industry with their innovative projects.
Marzhan Kabduakhitova, the founder of the Ratio platform, is one of the contenders for the award. Her platform offers modern AI solutions for analyzing skin conditions, recommending treatment, and monitoring progress for clinics and private users.
Another standout finalist is Alua Sharisheva, a 15-year-old school student who has developed the Jolym application. This app helps students prepare for admission to foreign educational programs, showcasing the ingenuity and talent of young entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan.
Aliya Sabitova has introduced the InCare KZ marketplace, a platform that connects specialists with people in need of care, such as individuals with special needs and the elderly.
Makpal Ikramova, another finalist from Kazakhstan, created the Inventivo project. This project utilizes computer vision technologies to track joint movements through mobile devices or computers, providing patients with sensory control and real-time feedback for better joint health care accessibility worldwide.
This year, the Aurora Tech Award received a record-breaking 2,018 applications from 116 countries, highlighting the growing interest and participation of women entrepreneurs in the tech industry. The finalists from Kazakhstan are shining examples of the innovative and talented individuals making waves in the global IT landscape.
