France Accused of Concealing Homeless for 2024 Olympics Tourists

French MP Slams Government Plan to Hide Homeless for 2024 Olympics
Mathieu, a member of the Unyielding France (LFI) party, has criticized the French government’s plan to establish a shelter center for homeless people in the town of Bruz. According to Mathieu, the government plans to relocate homeless people from the Ile-de-France region of Paris to the shelter center for three-week periods. The reason for the move is to hide them from tourists during the 2024 Olympic Games.
In a speech at the National Assembly in France, Mathieu pointed out that no steps have been taken to provide social support to the homeless in question. He also criticized the lack of professionalism and disregard for human dignity inherent in the operation.
Mathieu stated that the first group of homeless people is expected to arrive at the center in June or September. However, he stated that he and the Municipality of Bruz were horrified by the operation’s amateurism.
The French government has not yet responded to Mathieu’s comments. However, his remarks have sparked a debate on the country’s treatment of homeless people, and many are calling for greater support and social services for the homeless population.
