Free Saturday Visit to Thermal Bath Near Budapest

Szent András Thermal Bath in Tóalmás, Hungary is reopening after a year’s break on Saturday, 10 June. Known for its certified thermal water, the bath is located just 55 km east of Budapest and offers a charming thermal beach that has been in operation since 1971. The spa is planning to be open all year round after renovation and expansion work was carried out last year with modern facilities such as bathrooms and new changing rooms. The renovated spa is also aiming for medical spa certification that will offer medical treatments in the future.
To celebrate the opening day, admission is free for visitors. Tickets will be available at reasonable prices after the opening day: HUF 2,000 (EUR 5.42) for adults, HUF 1,000 (EUR 2.71) for pensioners and under-14s, and discounted tickets available from 4 PM.
In 2004, the water of Szent András Thermal Bath was certified as medicinal water. The thermal water with medium mineral content, sodium hydrogen carbonate, is effective in treating knee and hip joint problems.
The spa accommodation is expected to open in August, but this year’s campsite will be closed.
