Attention to the Friday prayer times in Turkey on March 1st, 2024
As the first Friday of March approaches, it is important for Muslims in Turkey to be aware of the Friday prayer times in their respective regions. The Diyanet has provided the adhan times for the noon prayer on this significant day.
In Istanbul, the Friday prayer will be at 13:21, in Ankara at 13:06, in Izmir at 13:29, in Adana at 12:56, and in Bursa at 13:21. For other provinces, the Friday prayer times are as follows:
– Şanlıurfa: 12:43
– Antalya: 13:16
– Konya: 13:07
– Diyarbakır: 12:37
– Eskişehir: 13:15
– Mersin: 12:59
It is important for Muslims to be mindful of these prayer times and make arrangements to fulfill their worship duties accordingly.
The Friday prayer consists of two rakats as an obligation. Additionally, there is a sunnah of eight rakats, with four rakats to be performed before the fard prayer and four rakats after. According to Imam Ebû Yûsuf, the sunnah to be performed after the fard consists of six rakats in total, with four rakats followed by one salute and two rakats followed by one salute. This guidance is based on teachings from Hz. Ali (ra).
In addition, the Religious Affairs has announced that the Friday sermon on February 2nd, 2024, will focus on explaining God’s help to believers. It is important for Muslims to attend the Friday sermon and prayer to seek guidance and blessings.
