Full Trust in Police, But Committed to Following Process – BRTK

The Chairman of the People’s Party (HP) Kudret Özersay has raised concerns regarding the delay in transferring files of a deputy under police investigation for allegedly possessing a fake diploma to the Attorney General’s Office.
Özersay stated that despite two months passing since the investigation began, the relevant files have not been forwarded to the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office. He questioned the reasons for this delay and emphasized the need for accountability in the process.
The Police General Manager assured Özersay that the files would be sent to the Attorney General within 4-5 days. However, in a written response from the Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office, it was revealed that no files had been received from the police, highlighting further delays in the process.
Expressing full confidence in the police, Özersay stressed the importance of transparency and public accountability. He urged the authorities to address the situation promptly and provide answers to questions raised regarding the investigation file and the potential removal of immunity for the deputy in question.
Özersay reiterated the party’s commitment to closely monitoring the process and holding responsible parties accountable. The public’s right to information and clarity on the matter was emphasized, with Özersay urging for timely actions to be taken by the relevant authorities.
