Galatasaray Men’s Basketball Team Parts Ways with Head Coach Zvezdan Mitrovic
The Galatasaray Men’s Basketball Team faced a disappointing loss against French representative JDA Bourgogne Dijon in the second match of Group J of the last 16 rounds of the Basketball Champions League. Despite being ahead by 25 points, the team ultimately lost 96-93. Following the game, head coach Zvezdan Mitrovic was involved in an altercation with yellow-red fans, and as a result, his duties were terminated.
In a statement released by the club, it was announced that “We have parted ways by mutual agreement with Zvezdan Mitrovic, who has been serving as the Head Coach of the Galatasaray Men’s Basketball Team since the last episode of the 2022-2023 season. We would like to thank Zvezdan Mitrovic for his efforts to our club during his tenure as the Men’s Basketball A Team Head Coach, to which he was appointed in May last season. We wish him success in his future career.”
