Labor and Social Security Minister Sadık Gardiyanoğlu Celebrates World Down Syndrome Awareness Day with Young People
On World Down Syndrome Awareness Day, the young people who are part of the centers of the Social Services Department were not forgotten. Labor and Social Security Minister Sadık Gardiyanoğlu organized a special dinner for these young individuals to celebrate the occasion.
The event took place at Famagusta İrfan Nadir and Güneşköy disabled rehabilitation centers, where young people over the age of 18 with Down syndrome are supported by the Famagusta Department of Social Services. The dinner was hosted by Bigchefs, who generously provided a delicious meal for the guests.
Minister Sadık Gardiyanoğlu, along with Alev Ecevit, the Director of the Social Services Department, expressed their gratitude to the Bigchefs Family for their support and sensitivity towards individuals with Down syndrome. Special thanks were also given to Coordinator Merve Nailer, Özalp Nailer, and Çiğdem Nailer for their contributions to the event.
As a token of appreciation, Minister Sadık Gardiyanoğlu presented various gifts to the young people with Down syndrome at the end of the meal. The event was a heartwarming celebration of inclusion and awareness for individuals with Down syndrome, highlighting the importance of support and community involvement in creating a more inclusive society for all.
