GAU Students Give Blood for BRTK
GAU Students Donate Blood to TRNC Ministry of Health Blood Bank
Girne American University (GAU) students recently demonstrated their commitment to giving back to the community by donating blood to the TRNC Ministry of Health Blood Bank. The donation drive, organized in collaboration with the “TRNC Thalassamia Association Blood Donor Recruitment Unit,” aimed to bolster the blood supply in line with national requirements.
The initiative was spearheaded by GAU Faculty of Medicine’s Medical Biochemistry Department Lecturer, Prof. Dr. Terin Adalı, who also serves as the Head of the Center of Excellence in Teaching and Research. Alongside members of the TRNC Fenerbahçe Fans Association, Galatasaray Fans Association, and Beşiktaş Fans Association, GAU students came forward to make generous contributions.
In a statement released by the GAU General Secretariat, the importance of addressing blood supply shortages was underscored. The event was praised for its role in raising awareness about this critical issue, and heartfelt thanks were extended to all donors who participated.
