Gaza Government Unveils Plan for Displaced North Residents to Return
The Gaza government has issued new restrictions on movement in the region, as announced by the Media Office. Starting from Sunday, January 26, 2025, only “pedestrian” movement will be allowed from Rashid Street on the west coast to Gaza and the northern provinces.
Palestinians will be permitted to travel to Gaza and the northern provinces via Saladin Street in the east, but only by vehicles and automobiles, not on foot. Inspections with x-ray devices will be conducted at crossing points for all types and categories of vehicles.
Furthermore, on Saturday, February 8, citizens will be allowed to travel “on foot” during their journey to and from Gaza and the northern provinces via Saladin Street. Palestinians are urged to follow these instructions to ensure their safety and the safety of their families.
