Israeli Air Strikes Leave Dozens Dead and Injured in Gaza
Israeli planes have launched a series of airstrikes targeting civilian homes in multiple locations throughout the Gaza Strip. Among the areas hit were Jabaliya, Sheikh Ridwan, Khan Younis, Al-Shati Refugee camps, as well as Beit Lahiya and Rafah.
According to reports from the Palestinian news agency WAFA, at least 23 people, including children, have been killed and 45 others injured in the attack on Khan Younis. It has been stated that there are still many people trapped under the rubble, and rescue efforts are ongoing.
In Rafah, the death toll has risen to at least 30 Palestinians due to the attacks.
Similar devastating consequences have been reported in Cebaliya and Al-Shati refugee camps, as well as Beit Lahiya. The Al-Ihsan Mosque in the Cebaliya Beled region has been completely destroyed as a result of the airstrikes.
Rescue teams are facing significant challenges in reaching those trapped under the rubble. A power outage and lack of necessary equipment in the affected areas make it difficult for civil defense teams to carry out their work effectively.
Tragically, a journalist named Muhammed Imad Lebid has also lost his life in the attack on Sheikh Ridvan. With this latest casualty, the number of Palestinian journalists killed since October 7 has now reached 20.
In addition to the loss of lives, there are further concerns regarding the deteriorating situation in the Indonesian hospital, where the supply of fuel has run out, causing a complete electricity outage. Patients in critical condition are now at risk of death due to the lack of necessary medical facilities.
Speaking on the matter, Muhammed Abu Silmiyye, the Director of Shifa Hospital, warned that without an inflow of fuel to Gaza, a major humanitarian disaster will be inevitable.
The international community has condemned these airstrikes and called for an immediate end to the violence. Efforts are being made to establish a ceasefire and enable humanitarian aid to reach the affected areas in order to provide assistance to those in need.
