Mayor Şahin highlighted the city’s open door policy and the creation of a successful integration model in education, health, and employment for the 500 thousand refugees currently residing in Gaziantep. She praised the efforts of the city in providing support to the refugees and creating a sense of brotherhood between the two communities.
Furthermore, Mayor Şahin discussed the importance of normalization in Jarablus, a town in Syria that was liberated during the Euphrates Shield operation. The municipality worked tirelessly to meet the basic needs of the residents, including providing infrastructure, shelter, education, and healthcare. The successful normalization efforts in Jarablus serve as a model for fostering strong civil societies and promoting brotherhood between nations.
