General Assembly of Parliament Concludes Work – BRTK
The General Assembly meeting of the Assembly of the Republic has concluded, paving the way for the next gathering scheduled for Monday, March 25 at 10:00. During today’s session, current speech requests from MPs were addressed, leading to the completion of the general assembly’s work.
Republican Turkish Party Famagusta Deputy Teberrüken Uluçay delivered a speech on “Market, Economy, and Politics” during the general assembly. Uluçay discussed the challenges faced by the economy, particularly highlighting the potential negative impact of the Turkish Lira’s depreciation against foreign currencies. He also addressed efforts to improve the economy, reduce inflation, and cut public expenses, emphasizing the importance of foreign currency inflows.
Additionally, National Unity Party Kyrenia Deputy Hasan Küçük used the platform to raise awareness for World Down Syndrome Day, focusing on education, care, and support for individuals with Down Syndrome and their families. Küçük emphasized the need for society to be more inclusive and supportive of special individuals.
Democratic Party Kyrenia Deputy Serhat Akpınar shared insights on “TRNC and the Future of Higher Education”, emphasizing the importance of a qualified student profile and the quality of education in the country. Akpınar highlighted the role of the state in supporting higher education and preserving the reputation of TRNC universities.
Following the speeches, the Parliament session concluded, setting the stage for future discussions and actions to address the economic, social, and educational challenges facing the TRNC.
