
German Minister Stresses Need for Ukrainian and European Cooperation for Peace

German Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock emphasized the importance of achieving peace in Ukraine through strong security guarantees and a united European stance. In a statement on the X platform of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Baerbock stated that the key to permanent peace in Ukraine lies in cooperation with Ukraine and Europeans.
Baerbock also highlighted the desire for peace from both Ukraine and European countries, as well as the United States. She expressed hope that Russian President Vladimir Putin would take steps towards ending the war in Ukraine, describing it as a long-awaited move.
Meanwhile, a statement from the Kremlin revealed that Putin and US President Trump had a 1.5-hour meeting recently. Trump, in a statement on the Truth Social platform, confirmed the meeting and stated that both leaders agreed to initiate negotiations for ending the war in Ukraine.
The discussions between Putin and Trump signal a potential diplomatic breakthrough in the conflict in Ukraine, with hopes for a peaceful resolution on the horizon. As international efforts continue to push for an end to the crisis, the role of key leaders and diplomatic initiatives will be vital in securing lasting peace in Ukraine.
