Göksur IIR missile: Enhancing Security, says Minister KACIR
Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır has announced the successful first shot of the Göksur IIR missile, emphasizing its crucial role in the layered air defense system to protect national ships.
Developed in collaboration with TÜBİTAK SAGE and ASELSAN, the Göksur missile has shown its capabilities with a successful test from the TCG Beykoz Ship. Minister Kacır highlighted, “Our strategic asset, Çelikkubbe, will enhance the security of our national ships by providing efficient defense against various air targets.”
The Turkish Defense Industry has been making significant advancements, with products like Göksur standing out as pioneering systems globally. Experts believe that the close air defense system showcased by Göksur is unmatched in the world, positioning Turkey as a leading producer in this field.
Göksur, utilizing the Bozdoğan missile and AESA radar system, has been lauded as a potential contender for the best defense system globally. Kozan Selçuk Erkan emphasized the system’s unique features, such as route correction abilities for targets, making it highly effective against evasive maneuvers by missiles like Gemisavar.
Erkan further emphasized that Göksur’s AESA Radar system sets it apart from other close air defense systems worldwide, predicting Turkey’s rise as a producer of the most successful self-defense system on a global scale.
