Turkey bids farewell to its martyr Infantry Specialist Sergeant Burak Large
The nation of Turkey mourns the loss of Infantry Specialist Sergeant Burak Large, who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to his country. The coffin of Large, draped in the Turkish flag, was brought to Çanakkale Airport from Iğdır by military plane, where it was then placed in a hearse by his comrades-in-arms. The body of the fallen soldier was then taken to the Central Mosque on Biga Street in Yenice, where forgiveness and prayers were offered at his home.
Following the afternoon prayer, a funeral ceremony was held in honor of Infantry Specialist Sergeant Burak Large. Attendees heard the CV of the brave soldier before a prayer led by Provincial Mufti Mustafa Bilgiç. The funeral prayer for martyr Large was then performed, and his coffin, also wrapped in the Turkish Flag, was accompanied to the hearse by a cortege of soldiers in a gun carriage.
The funeral ceremony was attended by many dignitaries and officials, including the martyr’s family, Çanakkale Governor Ömer Toraman, and various military commanders and politicians. The body of Burak Large was laid to rest in the New Cemetery in the district.
The bravery and sacrifice of Infantry Specialist Sergeant Burak Large will always be remembered and honored by the people of Turkey. May he rest in peace.
