Government announces opening of KYK scholarship and education loan applications
The Ministry of Youth and Sports has announced the start of scholarship/loan applications for the 2024-2025 academic year. Minister Osman Aşkın Bak revealed on social media that eligible students can now apply for financial support.
Students entering a higher education program for the first time, intermediate class students currently enrolled, and Turkish citizens studying abroad are all eligible to apply. The deadline for applications is October 13, and they must be submitted through the e-Government system.
It is important for students to ensure their education information is up to date in e-Government, as applications will be processed based on this data. Any errors should be corrected with the university’s student affairs office before the deadline.
The Ministry will verify the economic, social, and academic status declared by the students during the application process. Scholarships or education loans will be allocated to those who meet the criteria, while false statements will result in invalid applications.
Students with special circumstances, such as children of martyrs/veterans, those with disabilities, or national athletes, do not need to submit additional documents. The Ministry will verify these cases during the application review.
For any issues or questions during the application process, students can access 24/7 support through “ALO GSB (444 0 472), KYK_DESTEK, and GSB_DESTEK.” Make sure to submit your application before the October 13 deadline to be considered for financial assistance from the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
