Green Bileizk Project Trains 54 Teachers and 46 Candidates in Environmental Literacy
Over 50 teachers and teacher candidates in Cyprus have received environmental literacy training as part of the Green Bracelet: Environmental Literacy for Sustainable Development Project. The initiative, which aims to develop environmentally literate individuals, is sponsored by the European Union’s Cypriot Civil Society at Work VII Grant Program and is being carried out by the Famagusta Cultural Association. The attendees covered a range of topics, including climate justice, nature-based education, and green architecture. The project, which will run until 2024, has also provided training for more than 1,000 primary school students since October 2022. Certificates were presented to the participants in a ceremony at the Famagusta Development Academy on May 25th.
