Gruesome Discovery in Antalya: Headless, Limbless Body Found in Sea
A shocking discovery was made in the Baba Burnu area of Fener District in the Muratpaşa district of Antalya, Turkey. A person who was swimming in the area at noon came across an object that looked like a human body on the rocks inside a cave where an artificial waterfall flows into the sea. Upon closer inspection, the person detected a foul smell and immediately reported the finding to the 112 Emergency Call Center.
In response to the report, the Antalya Police Department Sea Port Branch Directorate swiftly dispatched teams to the location. They retrieved the body, which was missing its arms, legs, and head, and placed it on a stretcher to bring it back to the Marina. The identity and gender of the body remain unknown, but it is believed to have been in the sea for approximately 4 months. Following the preliminary investigation by the Crime Scene Investigation and Homicide Bureau teams, the body was transferred to the morgue of the Antalya Forensic Medicine Institute.
An investigation into the incident is currently underway to determine the circumstances surrounding this gruesome discovery.
