Ambassador of Guatemala Presents Credentials at Turkmenistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan recently welcomed the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guatemala, Eduardo Enrique Hernandez Recinos. In a meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmet Gurbanov on February 10, 2025, the Ambassador presented copies of his credentials.
Deputy Minister Gurbanov congratulated Ambassador Recinos on his new role and assured him of Turkmenistan’s support in carrying out his diplomatic duties. The meeting also served as an opportunity to introduce Ambassador Recinos to Turkmenistan’s peaceful foreign policy initiatives, including the proclamation of 2025 as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” through a UN General Assembly Resolution.
Discussions between the two parties included potential collaboration in political, economic, and cultural-humanitarian areas. Both sides highlighted the importance of fostering inter-parliamentary relations and expressed their commitment to engaging in constructive dialogue at bilateral and multilateral levels, including within international organizations.
Ambassador Recinos expressed his dedication to strengthening the ties between Guatemala and Turkmenistan, promising to work towards the development of bilateral relations. The meeting concluded on a positive note, with both parties looking forward to further cooperation and mutual benefits in the future.
