Tragic Love Affair Results in Double Shooting in Turkey
A love story in the suburbs of Istanbul turned deadly when a foreign national shot and killed a man named AU before turning the gun on himself. The incident occurred on Cumhuriyet Avenue in the Güvercintepe neighborhood at around 10:30 pm.
According to reports, the shooter and AU worked together in a textile workshop, and the shooter was in love with AU. The shooter went to AU’s house to confess his feelings, but when he was rebuffed, he brandished a gun.
Neighbors heard gunshots and called the police and medical teams, who arrived at the scene to find the shooter critically injured from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. AU was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries despite emergency medical intervention.
Local authorities have launched an investigation into the tragic incident, and a motive for the shooting has not been released to the public. The police have not yet identified the shooter or his nationality.
