Hailstorm Causes Flooding in Çorum’s Buildings and Businesses
Hail and torrential rains caused chaos in Çorum, Turkey, as many houses and workplaces were flooded. Vehicle drivers faced difficulty in advancing due to floodwater, while the city turned white due to hail. Mayor Halil İbrahim Aşgın stated that evacuation procedures are in progress at flooded points. According to the first information received from meteorology, 20 kilograms of precipitation fell per square meter in half an hour. This is a very serious situation and there are problems in various parts of the city. The authorities are on high alert, evaluating notifications, and dealing with the situation. Despite the chaos, there is currently no problem in traffic flow.
