Halk Maslahaty Assembly in Turkmenistan
The Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan held its successive meeting on September 24, 2024, at the “Maslahat Köşgi” Palace in the capital city, chaired by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. This important national conference took place on the eve of Turkmenistan’s 33rd anniversary of independence.
The meeting was attended by various leaders and representatives from government bodies, ministries, political parties, public organizations, and local authorities, as well as members of the Halk Maslahaty from different regions of the country.
During his address, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted the significance of celebrating the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great poet Magtymguly Fragi, emphasizing the poet’s influence on Turkmen culture and literature.
The main focus of the meeting was on reviewing the country’s progress, setting future goals, and consolidating Turkmenistan’s achievements as an independent state. The participants discussed various issues related to education, culture, environmental protection, and youth policy.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov also joined the session and emphasized the importance of advancing Turkmenistan towards a prosperous future. He outlined key tasks outlined in the “Program for the Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State” and instructed the development of a new program for socio-economic development and investments.
During the meeting, state awards were presented to individuals who made significant contributions to the country’s development. Honorary elders, artists, and other distinguished citizens were honored with titles and awards for their outstanding work and commitment to Turkmenistan.
In his closing remarks, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated the participants on Turkmenistan’s independence anniversary and encouraged everyone to continue working towards the country’s prosperity and success. The meeting of the Halk Maslahaty concluded with a reaffirmation of Turkmenistan’s commitment to progress and development.
