Halkbank Women’s Production Competition Award Ceremony in Istanbul: Sibel Tatar Pledges to Continue the Fight
The “Halkbank Producing Women Competition Award Ceremony” took place in Istanbul with prestigious guests in attendance. Among those present were Emine Erdoğan, the wife of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Sibel Tatar, the wife of President Ersin Tatar.
Sibel Tatar, the spouse of President Tatar, joined in a family photo at the event’s conclusion alongside the wife of President Erdoğan and later made a special statement to NTV.
During her speech at the ceremony, Emine Erdoğan emphasized the importance of women’s rights, defending the homeland, and addressing social issues. She highlighted President Erdoğan’s declaration of 2025 as a “family year” and stressed the need for women not to have to choose between their careers and family life.
Emine Erdoğan also expressed her desire for increased collaboration between Turkey and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus on projects benefiting women and solving global challenges.
Sibel Tatar, President Tatar’s wife, expressed her pride in women’s achievements and underscored the significance of their success for both Turkey and the TRNC. She commended the organizers of the event and pledged to continue supporting women’s struggles in various areas.
