Hamas Leader Criticizes Trump’s Statement on Gaza Strip
Sami Abu Zuhri, a senior executive of Hamas, has strongly condemned President Donald Trump’s recent statement regarding the Gaza Strip. In a post on Telegram, Abu Zuhri expressed his disapproval of Trump’s suggestion that the people of Gaza have no choice but to leave.
“We reject his explanations, we see it as a recipe for chaos and tension in the region,” Abu Zuhri stated in response to Trump’s remarks.
Abu Zuhri made it clear that the residents of the Gaza Strip would not allow such plans to be implemented, emphasizing that the solution lies in ending the occupation and attacks on Palestinian lands, rather than forcing people to leave their homes.
Trump’s comments came after a signing ceremony at the Oval Office, where he described Gaza as a completely destroyed area with no livable environment. The US President suggested that building new living spaces in neighboring countries like Egypt and Jordan would be a better solution for the people of Gaza.
“I think differently from many people about Gaza,” Trump stated, highlighting the poor living conditions in the region.
Referring to the photos of the rubble in Gaza, Trump argued that the Palestinians had no other options but to return to the region. He stated that the current situation in Gaza was not sustainable and posed a danger to its residents.
Abu Zuhri’s response reflects the strong opposition to Trump’s proposal among Palestinian leaders, who stress the importance of addressing the root causes of the conflict rather than displacing the people of Gaza.
