Hamas urges Israel to uphold ceasefire agreement without delays

Hamas Strongly Condemns Trump’s Statements on Palestinian People
Hamas has issued a statement denouncing US President Donald Trump’s recent comments regarding the Palestinian people in Gaza. Trump’s remarks, which suggested that the Palestinians in Gaza should be relocated in order to facilitate the rebuilding process, were described by Hamas as a “racist and ethnic cleansing call” aimed at denying the Palestinians their national rights.
The statement from Hamas asserted that any plans to displace the Palestinian people from Gaza would not succeed, and that the Palestinians would stand firm in their territory against any attempts to force them into exile. Hamas also warned that Israel, as the occupying power, would not succeed in any plans to liquidate or displace the Palestinian population.
In a separate development, King Abdullah of Jordan reportedly informed Trump that Arab countries, including Egypt and Saudi Arabia, would be discussing the situation in Gaza and working towards a resolution. The outcome of these discussions is eagerly awaited.
Meanwhile, Hamas’s military wing, the Izzeddin al-Kassam Brigades, announced the suspension of a planned prisoner exchange set for February 15. The decision was made due to what Hamas perceived as a failure by the other party to uphold their end of a ceasefire agreement. Hamas warned that if their prisoners were not released promptly, the ceasefire would be considered null and void, leading to a resumption of hostilities.
Overall, tensions in the region remain high, with Hamas and its supporters expressing strong opposition to any attempts to forcibly relocate or displace the Palestinian people. The situation continues to evolve, with all eyes on the upcoming talks between Arab nations and the potential consequences for the Palestinian people in Gaza.
