Hasipoğlu demands heaviest punishment for those responsible for hotel demolition – BRTK
Oğuzhan Hasipoğlu, Secretary General of the National Unity Party and Chairman of the Temporary and Special Committee Established to Monitor the Legal and Judicial Process Regarding the Earthquake in the Republic of Turkey, recently made a statement to BRT regarding the ongoing investigation.
During an interview on the ’18.Saat’ program, Hasipoğlu highlighted the significance of the 4th hearing and the discussion of the 4th expert report in Turkish law. He emphasized that the ultimate goal is to ensure that those responsible for the hotel collapse face the harshest possible punishment. Hasipoğlu also mentioned that efforts are being made to hold accountable those in the public sector who granted permission for the construction.
Regarding the situation in Isias, Hasipoğlu expressed concerns about possible fraud and stated that the truth will eventually come to light. He pointed out that the fact that only one building in the area collapsed is indicative of underlying issues that need to be addressed.
