Hatay Police Arrest Two in Drug and Smuggling Operation
The Provincial Gendarmerie Command is making significant strides in their ongoing efforts to combat smuggling and drug trafficking. During an operation conducted between January 15th and 19th, the teams successfully seized a large quantity of illegal narcotics and apprehended several suspects.
As a result of the operation, a total of 90 narcotic pills, 65 grams of herbal marijuana, and 29 grams of synthetic drugs were confiscated. In addition, an unlicensed firearm was also found and confiscated by the authorities. Furthermore, a total of 6 suspects were taken into custody in connection to the illegal activities.
Following the completion of their procedures at the gendarmerie, 2 of the suspects were formally arrested and will be facing legal proceedings in court. The remaining individuals were released after questioning.
