He Stays Centered with 40 Deputies in Support
Fatih Erbakan, the leader of the Welfare Party, recently spoke to the press ahead of the party’s monthly Ordinary Meeting of Provincial Presidents. During the statement, he emphasized that the party was the decisive force in the Presidential elections, as it sent five deputies to the parliament without relying on any other party’s lists or votes.
Erbakan further stated that despite the Welfare Party’s establishment only 4.5 years ago, it won the recent elections clearly, making the largest loser Kılıçdaroğlu, who rudely gave enough deputies to form 2 parliamentary groups to parties that did not even have 1% of the vote. He also pointed out that the HDP lost 3% of its votes and that four other parties were losers in the election.
According to Erbakan, the important thing is not to win parliamentary seats by relying on other parties but to participate in elections with one’s own logo and earn a deputy in this way. He stressed that parties built on political cunning are doomed to collapse eventually, and the recent elections have demonstrated that the CHP cannot get more than 25% of the votes in Turkey, no matter what.
Erbakan also promised to follow through on the agreed protocol in the parliament when the party joined the People’s Alliance. He said that the Welfare Party would continue to be the biggest supporters of the country and the nation and oppose any shortcomings and mistakes in the clearest and most effective way. He also stated that the party would work towards the education system’s sustainability and present projects compatible with the nation’s and moral values.
Furthermore, he announced that Suat Kılıç, former Minister of Youth and Sports and Samsun deputy for the 22nd, 23rd, and 24th terms, would be rejoining the Welfare Party. Erbakan expressed his pleasure at Kılıç’s return, stating that it would add to the party’s momentum. Kılıç also shared his thoughts, saying that he believed they could build a fruitful future on a solid foundation with the consciousness of “Service to the people is service to God.”
