Healthcare Professionals: Indispensable and Unchanging Elements in Health Centers, says Prime Minister Üstel.
Prime Minister Ünal Üstel met with the Cyprus Turkish Nurses and Midwives union and the Turkish Cypriot Nurses and Midwives union at the Prime Ministry on May 12, which is celebrated as Nurses Day. The Prime Minister expressed his gratitude for their visit and emphasized the importance of healthcare professionals in the healthcare sector. He also thanked nurses for their commitment and devotion to their work. The Prime Minister mentioned that the government is making urgent investments and necessary legal regulations to provide better services to people in hospitals and health centers affiliated with the Ministry of Health. He also indicated that the Law on Inpatient Treatment Institutions would be enacted as soon as possible to eliminate deficiencies in healthcare. Regarding the recent incidents of violence, the Prime Minister condemned such events and underlined the importance of making all necessary legal arrangements to prevent any violence that healthcare workers or anyone living in the country may encounter.
