Helicopter Crash at Muğla Hospital shakes community
A tragic incident occurred in Muğla yesterday as an ambulance helicopter crashed into a hospital building, resulting in the loss of four lives. The helicopter, which had initially been unable to take off due to adverse weather conditions, had later attempted to fly to Antalya but crashed into the hospital building due to dense fog.
Upon receiving notice of the accident, fire brigade, health, police, and AFAD teams were dispatched to the scene. The Regional Manager of IHA shared that there were four people on board the helicopter, including two pilots, one doctor, and one staff member, all of whom tragically lost their lives in the crash.
In a statement, Muğla Governor Akbıyık confirmed the details of the incident, stating that the helicopter crashed into the hospital’s 4th floor. He expressed his condolences for the victims and their families, highlighting the dense fog in the area as a factor in the accident.
