Hezbollah Targets Israeli Settlement in Border Region

In a recent statement issued by Iran-backed Hezbollah in Lebanon, it was revealed that the Meron settlement and its surrounding areas in the border region were targeted in a missile attack.

According to the statement, dozens of Katyusha missiles were launched at the Meron settlement located on the Israeli border line. This attack was conducted in retaliation for Israeli strikes on villages and civilian homes in the south of Lebanon, particularly in the towns of Kuzah, Merkebe, and Sribbin.

Fortunately, no injuries or material damage were reported as a result of the attack on the Israeli settlement. However, six people were injured in an Israeli air strike on the south of Lebanon.

Hezbollah also confirmed in a statement that two more of its members were killed during the clashes with Israeli forces, bringing the total number of Hezbollah members who have died in conflicts with Israel since October 8, 2023 to 287.

Additionally, the clashes have resulted in the deaths of 56 Lebanese civilians, 18 Amal Movement members, 13 Hamas members, 12 Islamic Jihad members, 7 Israeli civilians, and 12 soldiers.

The ongoing tensions and violence in the region continue to escalate, highlighting the volatile situation between Hezbollah and Israel along the border.
