Hezbollah Strikes Israeli Military Industry Factory in Response to Attacks
Hezbollah fighters have carried out attacks on the Balasan military industry factory in the Sasa settlement and the Sahl battalion command headquarters in the Beit Hilel barracks, according to a statement on the movement’s Telegram account. The attacks were carried out with Felek and Katyusha missiles, respectively.
These actions were in response to Israel’s repeated attacks on the town of Al Burgaliye in the city of Sur in southern Lebanon. Israeli warplanes reportedly targeted the town three times on Tuesday, injuring 8 people in a vehicle attack, with one person reported dead by Lebanon-based Al-Meyadin television.
Tensions have been escalating in recent weeks on the border line between Israel and Lebanon, known as the “Blue Line”. The Israeli army has reported that Hezbollah in Lebanon has fired over 5 thousand rockets, anti-tank bullets, and UAVs towards Israel since October 7.
Israeli army spokesman Daniel Hagari warned of a broader escalation due to Hezbollah’s increasing attacks, which could have devastating consequences for Lebanon and the region. Israel has been engaged in clashes with Lebanese Hezbollah on the northern border, resulting in casualties on both sides.
The situation remains volatile as both sides continue to exchange fire, raising concerns of further escalation and instability in the region.
