High-stakes Meeting: Erdoğan and Biden Discuss Critical Issues

President Erdoğan Calls for Immediate Ceasefire in Gaza
During a recent meeting, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan emphasized the urgent need to stop the human tragedy in Gaza and called for the US to withdraw its unconditional support for Israel in order to quickly ensure a ceasefire. President Erdoğan also highlighted the growing demand from both the world and US public opinion for an end to the violence in the region.
President Erdoğan stated that it is the historical responsibility of the USA to ensure a permanent ceasefire in the region as soon as possible. He warned that the deepening and prolongation of Israel’s attacks could have negative regional and global consequences.
Additionally, President Erdoğan emphasized the need for a guarantor mechanism proposed by Turkey, the keeping of promises made, and the establishment of an independent, sovereign, territorial integrity based on the 1967 borders. He also stressed the importance of establishing a State of Palestine with Jerusalem as its capital as the most reasonable and permanent solution to the conflict.
The meeting between President Erdoğan and Biden also addressed the issue of F-16s, but the focus remained on the urgent need for a ceasefire in Gaza to prevent further suffering and loss of life.
The world eagerly awaits concrete actions and support from world leaders to put an end to the violence in Gaza and work towards a lasting peace in the region.
