Highways Department Issues Road Warning – BRTK

Tuzluca Junction Closed for Asphalt Paving
In an announcement made by the Highways Department, it has been revealed that Tuzluca Junction will be closed to traffic for an extended period starting tomorrow. The closure is due to the ongoing construction work on the Balalan – Yeni Erenköy Road, which is part of the TRNC Highways Master Plan.
The asphalt paving activities at Tuzluca Junction are scheduled to take place tomorrow between 06:00 and 15:00. As a result, the junction will be closed to traffic flow during that time. Traffic will be redirected to one-sided and two-way (to and from) routes from the right or left sections of the divided road in the direction of Iskele-Karpaz, depending on its construction.
Drivers who normally use this route are urged to exercise caution and drive slowly. It is important to obey traffic signs and signals for the safety of both life and property.
The closure is necessary to facilitate the construction work and ensure the safety of all road users. The Highways Department has shared a diagram outlining the steps to be taken during the closure to minimize disruption and inconvenience.
It is recommended that drivers plan their journeys accordingly and take alternative routes if possible to avoid any potential delays caused by the closure. Your cooperation and understanding during this period are greatly appreciated for the smooth progress of the construction work.
