Minister of Commerce Prof. Dr. Ömer Bolat had a busy day in Güngören, attending various events around the district. The day started with Minister Bolat attending the opening ceremony of the “Touch of Elegance Exhibition” organized by Güngören Municipality. Alongside Güngören Mayor Bünyamin Demir, Abdullah Küçük, and many guests, Minister Bolat celebrated the opening of the exhibition.
During his speech at the event, Minister Bolat shared his deep connection to Güngören, stating that he has been a resident of the district for 61 years. He emphasized the transformative changes Güngören has undergone over the years, attributing much of the progress to the efforts of the Welfare Party and the AK Party.
Discussing the upcoming local elections, Minister Bolat expressed his support for Murat Kurum, highlighting his contributions as an urban planner and architect. He urged the residents of Güngören to rally behind their candidates for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, emphasizing the importance of environmental and social municipalism.
In addition to his political commitments, Minister Bolat also highlighted the Ministry of Commerce’s efforts to support women’s cooperatives. He revealed the significant financial assistance available to women’s cooperatives, encouraging their establishment and growth.
