Hulusi Akar Visits TRNC – BRTK
A Visit from the Turkish National Defense Commission to TRNC
The President of the National Defense Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), Hulusi Akar, recently visited the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) to hold discussions and make observations in Maraş. The Commission Members accompanied him during this important visit.
During the visit, Akar and the Commission Members received information about the latest work in the region and had the chance to interact with citizens who were present. In a statement to the press, Akar highlighted the sacrifices made by the Mujahideen and Mehmetçiks, and paid tribute to the martyrs. He also expressed his support and well wishes to the members of the TRNC and Turkish Armed Forces in their duties.
President of the Assembly of the Republic, Zorlu Töre, also welcomed the members of the National Defense Commission of the Turkish Grand National Assembly in TRNC. Töre emphasized the significance of Cyprus as a national cause and reiterated the unity of the Turkish Nation.
The guest delegation is expected to have meetings with state and government officials in the coming days, further strengthening the ties between Turkey and TRNC. This visit reinforces the commitment of both nations towards upholding the values and interests they share.
