Hungarian Bence Halász Wins Silver in Hammer Throw on His Birthday at Paris Olympics

Hungarian athlete Bence Halász celebrated his 27th birthday by securing a silver medal in the hammer throw at the Paris Olympics. Halász, who had previously thrown over 80 meters this year, demonstrated his talent in the final competition.

In the final, Halász started with a throw of 77.58 meters, placing him fifth. Despite a strong performance from Canadian Ethan Katzberg with a throw of 84.12 meters, Halász continued to improve his distance. His second throw of 78.84 meters moved him up to fourth place, and his third throw of 79.97 meters secured him the silver medal, ahead of Ukraine’s Mykhaylo KoKhan.

With consistent throws close to 80 meters throughout the competition, Halász was able to secure the silver medal as other competitors failed to surpass his mark. This victory marks Hungary’s first hammer throw medal since 2012.

Congratulations to Bence Halász on his impressive performance and birthday celebration at the Paris Olympics!
