Hungary Seeing Surge in Military Training and Recruitment
Hungary is experiencing a rise in interest in military service, with basic military training being offered throughout the country. The defence minister, Kristóf Szalay-Bobrovniczky, announced that close to 200 new contract and reservist recruits have reported for training this week.
The Hungarian Armed Forces launched a reservist recruitment campaign in June, resulting in thousands of individuals expressing their desire to join the military. Over 1,000 people have already signed up as reservists, demonstrating a growing interest in serving the country.
In addition to the increase in reservist numbers, the campaign has also led to a boost in the recruitment of contract soldiers. Szalay-Bobrovniczky mentioned that hundreds of reservists have made the transition to become contract troops, highlighting the success of the recruitment efforts.
The popularity of contract and reservist military service in Hungary is on the rise, showcasing a strong commitment to national defense and security. With more individuals showing interest in joining the military, the country is strengthening its armed forces and ensuring its readiness to protect its citizens.
