Hungarian Film Days Open in Ulaanbaatar

The first Hungarian Film Days were opened in Ulaanbaatar by House Speaker László Kövér and Munkhuu Batbayar, Mongolia’s deputy minister for culture on Saturday. Kövér expressed his delight about the recent agreements made between Hungary and Mongolia on cultural cooperation. The festival includes a Hungarian-Mongolian-Australian-British co-production, called 1242-Gateway to the West, which was created with the assistance of Mongolian filmmakers working in Hungary. Kövér hoped that this collaboration would continue on future projects. Batbayar highlighted the importance of Hungary as a cultural partner for Mongolia. A video on the making of the movie was shared during the opening ceremony.
